David Eason was accused of abusing children after his teenage son Jace vanished three times in the past month. There were no additional details given, but law enforcement sources told TMZ on Tuesday that the father of three is being charged with a misdemeanor.

It was not possible to reach Jenelle Evans or Eason for comment at this time. For the majority of Jace’s life, Barbara Evans, his grandmother, was his legal guardian until Jenelle reclaimed custody of the 14-year-old in March.

The “Teen Mom” star had previously stated that the teen’s three disappearances since August were simply the result of him acting out after his phone was taken away.

But after the young man vanished for the third time, Barbara told authorities that her grandson was actually escaping because of Eason. The worried grandmother claimed to have spoken with Jace, who allegedly told her “about being assaulted by David Eason and that he ran away and was hiding,” according to a police report that Ashley’s Reality Roundup was able to obtain.

“This isn’t about David whether you want to blame him or not,” Jenelle said at the time, quickly taking to Twitter to refute the claims.” My mother has been lying to everyone about me lately, but she still wants custody of me? Just think of what you won’t hear from me.

Subsequently, TMZ revealed that Eason and Jenelle were being investigated for possible child neglect. When Page Six asked the couple’s representatives for comments on the case, they never responded.

Child Protective Services allegedly obtained Ring footage that purports to show an altercation and according to the outlet, officers allegedly discovered Jace with visible bruises on his arms and neck earlier this month.

Eason has not responded to the accusations on social media and instead shared an Instagram Story earlier on Tuesday with a link to his music on Spotify. He and Jenelle have four other children in their blended family in addition to Jace.
