Ice-T controversies

Cop Killer, a contentious song from his 1992 album Body Count, was written with the intention of telling the story of criminals exacting revenge on racist police officers. Time Warner decided to obstruct the 1993 release of Ice-T’s subsequent solo album, Home Invasion, due to the controversy surrounding it. The musician released his music through Priority Records after quickly parting ways with Sire/Warner Bros. Records.
