“Baby Lane” Anderson, an American gang member, appears to be the primary suspect in Tupac Shakur’s death. Anderson was a member of the California-based gang known as the South Side Compton Crips.

On May 29, 1998, Orlando Tive was shot during a firefight involving gangs in Compton. He died at Martin Luther King Jr. Harbor Hospital in Willowbrook, California. Anderson was killed in a separate gang shootout when he was 23 years old.
